Client Spotlight: Berkeley Group

We recently caught up with Development Director, Adam Hedley, at Berkeley, who shared his thoughts on working with TRIbuild and the relationship we’ve built over the last 7 years.

Berkeley Group, is one of the UK’s leading property developers, known for delivering high-quality, sustainable homes and communities.

Over time, we have proudly supported multiple Berkeley sites and projects, supplying reliable, high-quality white collar professionals to help keep things moving efficiently on the ground. From early groundwork to final handover phases, our workforce solutions have helped keep projects on time, safe, and productive.

It is always a pleasure to hear directly from our clients about how we’re supporting their success — and building trust that lasts.

As Berkeley continues to expand its portfolio, TRIbuild remains committed to supporting their teams with the people and expertise they need on site.

How did you first discover TRIbuild Solutions?

TRIbuild were introduced to me by a Project Manager who had a successful experience in the past, Bret came to visit me on site and discussed the offering that TRIbuild gave in the residential market, and we agreed upon some next steps.

What was your first impression when working with us?

I was immediately drawn in by Bret’s passion, understanding of our needs and approachability. We had a long conversation about how our relationship needed to work, and we have never wavered from this.

How long have you worked with TRIbuild?

7 years

What has kept you coming back to use us?

Absolute reliability and professionalism. Each time a task has been set, it has been understood and executed. Client standards have been excellent, communication exemplary and as I have introduced to further members of our team standards have never dropped.

How has our company helped you and your business over the years?

By understanding and taking the time to get on board with our short, medium and long-term goals. Where it has been required all has been dropped to get us the right candidates for immediate starts. At other points we have targeted key positions and took time to find the right clients. At other times celebrating with a well-earned beer.

Can you share a specific success story or memorable experience with TRIbuild?

When under massive time pressure on one of our schemes I had a requirement to bring in 5 new managers. To save difficult diary organisation I set 3 hours aside and attended TRIbuild’s office from 8am-11am one morning where we lined up 6 interviews. I offered employment to 5 of them, all accepted and started 48 hours later. 3 years down the line 3 are still in Berkeley employment and 2 lasted over 2 years in their role.

What message would you like to share with us on our 10th anniversary?

Keep doing what you are doing, the biggest USP I see from TRIbuild is that you understand your client’s needs and adapt to them.

Would you recommend us to others? If so, why?

I have and I will continue to do so. They offer the best service of any employment agency I have ever dealt with.

In one sentence, how would you sum up your experience with TRIbuild?

Upon starting in the residential sector, I was keen to develop my own relationships with suppliers and contractors. From first impressions, until present day all my dealings with TRIbuild have been extremely positive, we have had some fantastic candidates, and they have been a key part in the successful delivery of some of Berkeley’s biggest London schemes. For the last several years TRIbuild have been my first-choice agency, and I don’t see that changing.

TRIbuild Solutions’ Contribution to the Northumberland Line Project

TRIbuild Solutions has maintained a strong presence on the Northumberland Line project for the past two years, supplying skilled operatives to key contractors, including Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, RSS, and MGL/Rainton. This transformative scheme, projected to generate up to £470 million in economic benefits, represents a major investment in the region’s transport infrastructure.

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is constructing six new stations along the Northumberland Line, all of which TRIbuild Solutions has supported with skilled personnel. These stations—Ashington, Bedlington, Blyth Bebside, Newsham, Northumberland Park, and Seaton Delaval—will provide a vital rail link connecting to the Metro at Northumberland Park in North Tyneside.

The development allows passengers to travel to Newcastle in 21 minutes, reducing travel time and enhancing accessibility for all commuters and passengers in the area.

In addition to station construction, the £40 million contract includes the development of car parks at each station, three footbridges, and 29km of track between Ashington and central Newcastle.

Skilled Workforce & Compliance

TRIbuild Solutions has supplied operatives across a range of roles, including:

  • Works Managers
  • Ground Workers
  • Supervisors
  • Track Operatives
  • Machine Operators
  • Gatemen
  • Storemen
  • Traffic Management Operatives

Given the scale and complexity of the project, we prioritise health, safety, and compliance. All workers on site are primary sponsored by TRIbuild Solutions on the Sentinel platform, ensuring they meet the highest industry standards. We ensure that each operative has successfully completed the required medical assessments and drug & alcohol testing before starting work.

PPE & Safety Standards

To ensure a safe working environment, every operative is provided with the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including:

  • 7-in-1 Jacket
  • Trousers
  • High-Visibility Vest
  • Goggles
  • Gloves
  • Snoods

The first completed timesheet we received on the project was dated July 2023.

Over the 2 years, TRIbuild have had approximately 30 workers on site at any time across the project, who on average work 45 hours per week

= 1,350 hours per week

= 5,400 hours per month

= 64,800 hours per year

TRIbuild Solutions is proud to support this landmark infrastructure project, contributing skilled personnel to help deliver long-term benefits to the North East.

Throughout the 2 years, we have supported charity events and Christmas charity raffles for Morgan Sindall NLP, supporting their chosen charities, including the North East RNLI Branch and supplying donations to the project. “The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Powered primarily by kind donations, our search and rescue service has been saving lives for 200 years.”

Project Update:

On Monday 17th March Newsham station (the largest station on the line) opened to the public; with stations at Beldington, Blyth Bebside and Northumberland Park all due to open throughout 2025.

What do Morgan Sindall and MGL think of TRIbuild:

A special thank you to both Amelia and Charlotte, they helped put the day together, and did a fantastic job as always.

SOME OF OUR GUESTS SENT SOME LOVELY FEEDBACK

“Dean, Bret and Amelia – what an outstanding day it was on Friday. The course was just incredible but the hard work from all of you which would have gone into organizing such an event was very evident. I hope you all enjoyed the day as much as my group and I did.

I don’t think any golf day could compete with what we experienced on Friday so thank you all very much – it was an experience I’ll remember for a long time – both the course and Michael Faherty’s attempts to drink a drink without any hands afterwards “

Tom Hunter – Structure Project Management

“Gents, Just a note to say thank you for the day on Friday. Great event again and I thoroughly enjoyed it”

Lee Reynolds – KN GROUP

“Just to re-echo Lee’s sentiment; very many thanks for extending us the courtesy of being part of your golf day – It was hands down one of the most well-organised and entertaining golf days I’ve ever been on and in a location that was off-the-scale.

I must also apologise for the robbery that you and your fellow golfers were victims of at the hands Pedro the Mexican”
