TRIbuild Solutions has maintained a strong presence on the Northumberland Line project for the past two years, supplying skilled operatives to key contractors, including Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, RSS, and MGL/Rainton. This transformative scheme, projected to generate up to £470 million in economic benefits, represents a major investment in the region’s transport infrastructure.
Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is constructing six new stations along the Northumberland Line, all of which TRIbuild Solutions has supported with skilled personnel. These stations—Ashington, Bedlington, Blyth Bebside, Newsham, Northumberland Park, and Seaton Delaval—will provide a vital rail link connecting to the Metro at Northumberland Park in North Tyneside.
The development allows passengers to travel to Newcastle in 21 minutes, reducing travel time and enhancing accessibility for all commuters and passengers in the area.
In addition to station construction, the £40 million contract includes the development of car parks at each station, three footbridges, and 29km of track between Ashington and central Newcastle.
